Most clients stop after one session, though a free follow-up is provided within three months in the event that you have a problem. Our Worthing hypnotherapist has bookings from Monday to Saturday, and you can also be seen in the evening.
We find that most patients stop smoking in two treatments, but we provide a third just in case. All three are covered by this fee, as is our three years of AfterCare support..

A SHORT CASE HISTORY
From our Worthing hypnotherapy branch
Every time Christine went to her GP, he put her on another drug product. She failed to stop smoking with nicotine patches, so he prescribed a nicotine inhaler. She failed with that, so he put her back on patches. Then, in desperation, he put her on two products at the same time. Finally, when all these NRPs failed to make any impression, he prescribed Champix. It was only when Christine had to come off that because of the side effects that she started looking for a Worthing hypnotherapist.
Before we got as far as having our Worthing hypnotist call her we wanted to ask her all about her failures. She didn’t know why she hadn’t stopped smoking with any of the NHS’s products, so she just wanted to try something else. We explained that we will only provide any given therapy if we believe it is going to succeed.
So we spent twenty minutes on the phone talking through her history. One of the reasons we do this is to see whether the client is talking about the right therapy. At the end of this chat, Christine understood that she did indeed need hypnotherapy. At this point, we arranged for her to see, Sandi, our Worthing hypnotist.
Sandi rang Christine, and they had a further chat on the phone. By the end of this talk, Christine was convinced that she was now getting the right stop-smoking method. This was going to be a great help when she came for her hypnotherapy. There are of course a number of Worthing hypnotists, any one of whom would happily have seen Christine. Are we saying that ours is the only one who could help her? Of course not. It’s about just getting it right – the right therapy, the right therapist … and something else.
Support is something that everyone needs when they stop smoking. Any Worthing hypnotherapist will offer some level of support. More often that not they will offer to see them again, without charge. We find there are two problems with this approach. One is that the therapist can’t usually take a call just when you want to speak with them. And the other is that all hypnotherapists deal with a range of issues. But Christine didn’t need support from the therapist. She was able to call our dedicated NSSC AfterCare service. It’s available far more, and it’s manned by smoking cessation specialists.
Christine stopped smoking after just one session of hypnotherapy. She didn’t have any problems, but she did call the AfterCare team because she found it helpful to stay in touch. She called about once a week for a while, and we were always happy to hear from her. And we were able to give our Worthing hypnotherapist feedback. This is important for further professional development, and it’s part of what being an NSSC hypnotherapist or acupuncturist is about.
THE NSCI STOP SMOKING HANDBOOK
Here’s a snippet from the book. There are lots of pages you can read for free. We suggest you do this before you come to our Worthing hypnosis or acupuncture service.
….. Before we look at this in detail, here are some things you can do to help make your Smoke-Free Day a success.
Decide whether a working day or a weekend day will be easier.
If you’re not working, plan a fun-filled day when you won’t be sitting around bored.
Drink lots of water.
And now I’m going to make this really easy, so don’t say I don’t care about you. You can smoke on your Smoke-Free Day. No, this is not a joke. You can, if you want, smoke herbal cigarettes. You see, the point of the Smoke-Free Day is not to not smoke, but to not smoke nicotine. And the point of smoking herbal cigarettes on this day is that they will give you all the psychological support you would get from a real cigarette because smoking is smoking. What you won’t be getting is a fix, but because you will be smoking you won’t be under pressure to smoke, if you see what I mean. Read the bit about herbal cigarettes again in Project 5.
So now tell me you can’t do one day without tobacco. Oh, and by the way I shouldn’t have to say this but I will, you can’t use an NRP on this day.
TALK WITH OUR HYPNOTIST * FIRST
When you enquire about hypnotherapy we will discuss whether it’s what you need. If it is, we will have our Worthing hypnotist phone you, because you will still want to see if you like them. Hypnotherapy is great, but your success will also depend on your relationship with the hypnotherapist.
