Warrington Hypnotherapy AfterCare

There are three years of support. We strongly advise you to call the helpdesk the day after your session. We will talk through how it went, how you feel right now, and what more we can do to help you. This might necessitate a follow-up session with our Warrington hypnotist, which is free of charge.

From our Warrington hypnotherapy branch

Josh was smoking cannabis every evening, but he was mixing it with tobacco to roll joints. He wanted to know if hypnosis could help him, and the answer was yes. Hypnotherapy isn’t concerned with what you smoke. In any case, Josh, like most cannabis users, was also addicted to nicotine because of the tobacco in his joints.

All of our therapists see cases like this one, and our Warrington hypnotherapist is no exception. In fact he had seen a friend of Josh’s only a month before, although he didn’t say so of course. The majority of cannabis users we see seem to be youngish men, although that  may not represent a national statistic. Josh was in his mid-thirties, and this age is typical of these cases. Most of the clients our Warrington hypnotist sees are older than this, with a median age of mid- to late-forties, so this statistic is also of interest.

Anyway, back to Josh. Like most smokers in his age group, there were other issues, all connected with each other. One was his social group, which comprised men of about his age. The second was that these friends were almost all smokers. And finally, alcohol was a big part of their social life. This is why we tend to see older people in our Warrington hypnotherapist branch. Moving past these issues is part of growing up.

We went through with Josh how he was going to tackle these issues. We advised him on telling his friends what he was doing, and connecting with those who supported him in stopping smoking. It turned out that one person in his circle had had hypnotherapy to stop smoking, and Josh said he would lean on him for support. He also accepted that after his session at our Warrington hypnosis branch that he would take control of his drinking. These might seem obvious things to do, but you might be surprised how many hypnotherapy clients think they don’t need to take responsibility. That we are going to do it all for them. Josh succeeded because he did.

Here is a small taster from the book. If you are going to come to our Warrington hypnosis service, it’s a good idea to read the free sample pages first.

Case Study

Madeleine joined The Phoenix Programme and we told her, as we tell all patients, not to eat tomatoes. She was a nurse and she understood the science. The next day, though, she rang to say the treatment had stopped working – she was craving nicotine. We asked all sorts of questions and then we came to tomatoes. Oh no, she said, I’ve been very careful about that. Sure? Well, she said, I had lunch at my mother’s house yesterday. I told her about this but I’ll just ring to check. Her mother fished an empty condiment jar out from the recycling and read the ingredients. Tomato. It comprised less than one percent of the meal, but tomato is tomato. Madeleine carried on with the treatment and within 24 hours it kicked back in again. And interestingly she then remembered that in both of her pregnancies she stopped smoking but had had a craving for tomatoes. She even did a survey of her nursing colleagues and discovered that those who smoked ate more tomatoes than those who didn’t. Interesting or what?

Have you read this stuff in any other book about stopping smoking? No. Well, remember my promises at the beginning of the Handbook? I said I would be telling you things you don’t know, didn’t I? Do I keep my promises? I should think so.

When you call us about hypnosis, or complete the enquiry form, we will contact you to discuss whether hypnotherapy is what you need. Once we are sure, we will have our Warrington hypnotist phone you. They are highly qualified, of course, but you will still want to see if you like them. Hypnotherapy is great, but your success will to some extent depend on your relationship with the hypnotherapist you see.

People come here for hypnotherapy, but if you plan to take pharmaceutical products to stop smoking see your GP.. You can also visit the NHS Warrington website here. If you then need to see our Warrington hypnotist, that’s the time to call us.
