Most clients stop in just one session, but a free follow-up is provided within three months in the event that you have a problem. Our Crewe hypnotherapist has bookings from Monday to Saturday, and you can also be seen in the evening.

Not provided here at the present time. Your nearest service will be a north Cheshire acupuncture branch.

We hope to bring AM to Cheshire by the end of 2017.

Our Crewe hypnotherapist, Natasha Harvey, also sees clients at our Sandbach and Nantwich hypnotherapy branches.

When you have seen our Crewe hypnotherapist we will enrol you in our NSSC AfterCare programme. The support that comes with each therapy is different, although in each case it provides access to our unlimited help by telephone counselling.

Crewe Hypnotherapy AfterCare

There is a free second session with our Crewe hypnotist within three months if needed, and three years of support. We advise you to call the helpdesk the day after your session. We will talk through how the session went, how you feel right now, and what else, if anything, we can do for you. And do ask for our help if you need it.

From our Crewe hypnotherapy branch

Lawrence had successfully stop smoking with hypnotherapy four years before. He had got stressed, gone out with friends for a few drinks, and had given in to the temptation. The first question was whether he could be said to have stopped smoking. The second is why anyone who hasn’t smoked for such a long time would even be tempted.

We needed to answer both of these questions before he could be seen by our Crewe hypnotherapist.

Had he stopped smoking?

When he called us, Lawrence said he had failed. But when we asked him how long he had stopped for, even he could see that could hardly be called failure. This raised the question of what success and failure mean. Well, there is no easy definition, but there is a reasonable one. Most smokers tell us that if they could stop for a month they would never smoke again, but we know that’s not true. Curiously, Lawrence said that once our Crewe hypnotist had helped him to stop he would never start again. Was that true, or should we consider that he had a history of restarting? We went with the optimistic view.

Why was he tempted after such a long time?

Lawrence believed that he would not start smoking again this time, but why had he done so before? Why do most people who have stopped smoking start again? The reasons they give are almost always related to drinking, socialising and stress. Our Crewe hypnotist sees any number of people who say that.

However, not one of these is the reason for starting to smoke again, and none of them applied to Lawrence, no matter what he believed. These are the reasons why people are tempted to smoke, but being tempted and becoming a smoker again are not the same thing. Lawrence had hit all three – stress, drinking and socialising, and as a result he had smoked. Lawrence had yet to learn that it’s not the first one that matters, it’s the second one. What made him a smoker was lighting the second one in the belief that he had failed. Once he got that message, it was easy for our Crewe hypnotherapist to help him to stop smoking.

Here is a small taster from the book. If you are coming to our Crewe hypnotherapist, it’s a good idea to read the free sample pages first.

And another thought

Are you worried about your smoking? My guess is that you are, on the basis that you’re reading this Handbook. Been worried about it for long? Tried to stop and failed? Uhuh, I see. Would you say that all of this has made you stressed about smoking? Uhuh, I see. Would you like to stop being stressed about smoking? So stop.

Fascinating Fact Number 9

There is a paradoxical effect of new drugs for smokers to stop. Every time one is introduced by the NHS, hoards of people go on it. Some people succeed with it, of course, but naturally the great majority don’t, as in the nature of all drugs.

There is then a period, after all the hullabaloo has died down, when people simply don’t want to stop smoking. Failure to stop, especially with a drug product that has been hailed as the best thing ever, destroys the motivation of a lot of smokers for a long time.

When you call us about hypnosis, or complete the enquiry form, we will contact you to discuss whether hypnotherapy is what you need. Once we are sure, we will have our Crewe hypnotist phone you. She is highly qualified, but you will still want to see if you like her. Hypnotherapy is great, which is why we provide it, but your success will to some extent depend on your relationship with the hypnotherapist you see.

If you don’t want hypnosis, but want to take stop-smoking products, we suggest you see your GP.. Or you can visit the NHS East Cheshire website here. If you then fail, our Crewe hypnotist will be happy to help you.
