THE NSCI STOP SMOKING HANDBOOK
Here is a snippet from the book. If you are going to come to our hypnotherapist in Consett, find some time to read the free sample pages first.
Is it worth dying for?
So you really do enjoy smoking, and yes, you are right and I am wrong. I know, unlikely, but let’s think the unthinkable for a moment.
That leaves one very big question. No matter how good smoking is, is it worth dying for? No, I take that back, let’s not talk about dying, let’s talk about emphysema, struggling to breathe every waking minute, waiting to die. Or having a cancerous lung removed. or a leg, or let’s make that two legs.
One thing we never do in our work is lecture people about the evils of smoking, and I promised way back at the start that I wasn’t going to do that. But even if I keep my promise I am obliged to admit the facts, aren’t I? Smoking does all these things. It’s not necessarily doing them to you, right now, but it undeniably does them.
But that’s only part of the picture. Let’s turn this on its head and imagine you had never smoked. There you are, weighing up the pros and cons of starting to smoke. On the plus side:
Smokers says they enjoy it and it helps them to relieve stress and boredom and make friends.
