They say that someone who used to be alcoholic but isn’t now is just one drink away from it, and it’s reasonable to apply that idea to cigarettes. Once you’ve been a smoker, remember, you will always think like one, and even if you don’t most of the time you can slip back into it very easily. When you become a smoker you cede control of your brain to the tobacco companies, for ever. I haven’t smoked for years, and I know I never will again, but I also know that I used to. I cannot think like someone who has never smoked.
