NO, YOU DON'T HAVE TO STOP SMOKING
Sometimes, people come to us not to stop smoking but for smoking reduction. It’s a choice they make, and we publish a book on reduction. ‘No, You Don’t Have to Stop Smoking’ will be of interest even if you do want to stop completely. ….. Not easy, is it? Here you are, using a drug that says on the pack that it’s going to kill you, and you can’t even explain why you smoke the number you do. Sorry, I don’t want to lecture, really, but it just seems the right thing to say at this point. This isn’t ‘just smoking’, this is pretty serious. You know smoking kills, and I’m not asking you to justify why you do it, I’m asking you to explain why you do it as much as you do, why, if you’ve always known smoking kills, and you’ve probably tried to stop before now, you do absolutely nothing about limiting the damage by smoking less. I don’t think that’s a lot to ask. Do you? And if you feel bad that you couldn’t explain it to me, if I were standing in front of you, don’t. What you should be feeling bad about is that you can’t explain it to YOURSELF.
