Almost all clients stop in a single session, but a free follow-up is provided within three months in the event that you have a problem. Our Croydon hypnotherapist has bookings from Monday to Saturday, and you can also be seen in the evening.
You will have three separate treatments, about a week or so apart. We find some patients don’t need all three, but come back for the third one anyway. It does help.. The fee shown is inclusive.

THE NSCI STOP SMOKING HANDBOOK
Here’s a snippet from the book. There are lots of pages you can read for free. You should do this before you come to our Croydon hypnosis or acupuncture branch.
We teach this ancient Chinese technique in our clinics because it’s easy to learn and very effective, although teaching it in a book isn’t as easy as face to face but I think you will get the idea. Shiatsu is a form of acupuncture, sometimes called acupressure, which means using acupuncture points but applying pressure to them instead of needles.
Acupuncture is a brilliant pain and stress relief treatment, so its obvious application when you stop smoking is to help with withdrawal symptoms. Of course it isn’t as effective as an acupuncture treatment, but its big advantage is that you can treat yourself, any place, any time.
We teach a number of shiatsu points in our clinics but two will suffice here. When doing shiatsu, do not have your legs crossed.
On the palm of your hand there are various lines. Hold your right hand facing you. The line that starts under your longest finger and goes off in a curve and disappears off the left edge has an acupuncture point on that edge. With the fingers of your left hand tap that point. That’s shiatsu. Do it for a few seconds only, and then swap and do the same on the other hand. Always do both sides.
A SHORT CASE HISTORY
From our Croydon hypnotherapy branch
Amanda was both a typical case and an unusual one. Typical in that when she called us about seeing our Croydon hypnotherapist she had all the usual doubts. These were mostly about herself. If, like most people, you have tried to stop smoking several times and failed, you may come to believe that you can’t do it and no-one can help you.
Most smokers have been promised all sorts of ‘cures’, not least by their GP, none of which have helped. And there is an understandable belief that if the NHS can’t help you no-one can. The NHS is able to provide only drug products, and yet therapy works better than drugs, so why don’t they offer therapy? Well, you should ask them that question.
By chance Amanda worked for a pharmaceutical company that makes a smoking cessation product! She had, of course, been given it by her employer. It was, after all, not only free but she presumably believed in what her company makes. Working for the manufacturer, sadly, didn’t make the product any more successful than it is for any other smoker, and Amanda notched up another failure.
So it was time to see our Croydon hypnotherapist. She was a little coy about her smoking cessation history, because she worked for the company, and we could understand that. She told us that quite a few of her colleagues were still smoking, and we imagined this was rather embarrassing for the company. That, though, was their problem.
Amanda stopped smoking after just one visit to our Croydon hypnotist. It took her a while to really believe not only that she had stopped but that it had been that easy. It’s a paradox, but because it so often is some clients worry that they are also going to find it easy to start again. Whether you start again has nothing to do with how easy it was to stop. It is under your control. Amanda was so worried that she actually called us to ask for another session with our Croydon hypnotist. We didn’t feel this was a good idea, but it was what she wanted, and as it turned out it really did help to build her confidence.
TALK WITH OUR HYPNOTIST * FIRST
When you enquire about hypnotherapy we will discuss whether it’s what you need. If it is, we will have our Croydon hypnotist phone you, because you will still want to see if you like them. Hypnotherapy is great, which is why we provide it, but your success will also depend on your relationship with the hypnotherapist you see.
