NO, YOU DON'T HAVE TO STOP SMOKING
We help people to stop smoking, but we also help heavy smokers to become light smokers – IF THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT. We have a book on this special subject, and there are lots of pages you can read for free. You might be interested to do this before you come to our Conwy hypnosis branch. Here is a small taster.
….. The second type of drug used in smoking cessation is one of two psychotropic drug prescribed by GPs. The first, Zyban, has largely been discredited now, and we are not aware that any doctors are still offering it to their patients. The second, which has been a big commercial success (although no more efficacious than Zyban, sadly) is Champix, which a significant number of the smokers we treat have previously failed with. Champix is, as we say a psychotropic drug, which means it alters your brain chemistry, and it is prescribed in the belief that messing with your brain chemistry is a good thing to do. It fails most of the time because the theory is badly flawed, but also because the side-effects are so bad that most patients on it have to stop taking it. This is because of the damaging effect of changing someone’s brain chemistry to stop them smoking.
