THE NSCI STOP SMOKING HANDBOOK
Here is a small taster from the book. If you are going to come to our hypnotherapist in Blackburn, it’s a good idea to read the free sample pages first.
….. When you stop smoking your lungs don’t know you’ve stopped smoking. They just think it’s the dawn of a bright new day and like every other morning a load of noxious smoke is coming down any minute. When it doesn’t they think, oh, maybe we could get rid of some of this tar and they produce a cough. This can be slight or it can be a lot, there’s no knowing what to expect.
We had a patient once who complained that the treatment we gave her was staining her teeth, but we had to point out that it couldn’t do that, the staining was coming from the tar she was breathing up from her lungs. Still, better out than in.
The staining on some smokers’ fingers, by the way, is not nicotine. That’s what people tend to call them, isn’t it, nicotine-stained fingers, but since nicotine represents only about ten percent of the toxins in a cigarette, it’s not a reasonable thing to say. It’s tar.
