When you have seen our Washington hypnotherapist we will enrol you in our NSSC AfterCare programme. The support that comes with each therapy is different, although in each case it provides access to our unlimited help by telephone counselling.

Washington Hypnotherapy AfterCare

This comes with three years of counselling support. Phone the helpdesk the day after your session to talk through how it’s going, and whether you need more help. If you need to come back to our Washington hypnotist again, we can arrange that.

THE NSCI STOP SMOKING HANDBOOK

Here is a small taster from the book. If you are going to come to our hypnotherapist in Washington, it’s a good idea to read the free sample pages first.

….. But then there is another effect. When you light a cigarette you are in subliminal nicotine deprivation, remember, so you are finding it a little harder to concentrate because the withdrawal symptoms are preventing your brain working properly (because they want it to concentrate on getting a cigarette). What happens when you take short puffs as you do your work is that the nicotine prevents withdrawal symptoms and allows your brain to function properly.

On the other hand, if you draw on the cigarette heavily, what happens is that it puts a lot of carbon monoxide into your brain. While you smoke a cigarette about 10% of your brain’s oxygen is replaced by CO. Carbon monoxide has an immediate effect on the brain – it suppresses it. The brain needs a good supply of oxygen to function properly. On 90% oxygen it can’t do that. So smoking heavily suppresses brain activity, which has the effect of making you feel calmer.

Of course there is another way to use carbon monoxide. Connect up the exhaust of your car to the inside and turn the engine on. You will gradually lose consciousness as the CO pushes out all the oxygen.

What you do every time you light a cigarette, even if you think it is relaxing you, is in fact practising suicide.
