THE NSCI STOP SMOKING HANDBOOK
Here is a small taster from the book. If you are coming to our hypnotherapist in Darlington, it’s a good idea to read the free sample pages first.
And on the minus side
It will typically cost £2000 a year of taxed income, it will turn you into a social leper and it will destroy your lungs.
So there you are, weighing this up, and you think, yep, let’s go for it. Can you imagine anyone actually doing that? Can you imagine anyone who smokes, knowing all of this, encouraging a young person to start smoking? Can you imagine anyone saying they would rather smoke than take the family on a super holiday every year, or buy a new car? And mean it?
No, no-one would say these things. But what they do is carry on smoking, because they enjoy it. You know what the problem is, don’t you?
They’re not thinking. And why aren’t they thinking? Because, and I just know you have heard this before, the addiction to nicotine turns your brain to mush. Saying you can’t stop or won’t stop because you enjoy it too much is rubbish. It’s not you talking, because you’re not that daft. It’s the drug talking.
So what can you do about this? It’s simple really. You have a choice. You can smoke for the rest of your life on a false premise and listen to the sound of laughter as the tobacco companies and the government romp to the bank with your money, or you can refuse to be abused.
