OUR GUARANTEED AFTERCARE SERVICE

When you have seen our Redditch hypnotherapist or acupuncturist we will enrol you in our NSSC AfterCare programme. The support that comes with each therapy is different, although in each case it provides access to our unlimited help by telephone counselling.

Redditch Hypnotherapy AfterCare

One of the most common mistakes smokers make is to think that if they smoke they have failed. We are here to talk through this with you, and there is always a way out of it. This is a free service, and it lasts for three years.

Redditch Acupuncture AfterCare

You will be getting three years of counselling and support with acupuncture. In addition to the long-term support, we like to talk with you after the first treatment. This is to assess your progress and ensure that our Redditch acupuncturist has feedback to prepare for your second treatment.

NO, YOU DON'T HAVE TO STOP SMOKING

Sometimes, people come to us not to stop smoking but for smoking reduction. It’s a choice they make, and we publish a book on reduction. ‘No, You Don’t Have to Stop Smoking’ will be of interest even if you do want to stop completely. Why not take a look at it before you visit our Redditch hypnosis or acupuncture branch. Here is a taster to get you started.

How it works …

Do you remember the first time you ever smoked? Or the first time you smoked again after you had been stopped? What was it like? Almost all smokers remember (I do) that it was bad. It will have tasted bad and perhaps made you nauseous and/or dizzy.

Why do you think it has this effect? Because it’s poisonous. Tobacco smoke contains 4865 different poisonous substances. It is the most toxic thing you will ever put into your body.

So, if it’s that poisonous how would you expect your body to react? Not unnaturally, your body will ask you not to do it. It’s quite normal and it’s part of your immune defence. If you absorb a poison, your immune system gives you symptoms which are signals to your brain not to do it. If you ignore those signals you run a severe risk of illness and death.

It’s like putting your hand on the hotplate of your cooker. Your body reacts with pain to get you to stop, and you do. Smokers though do just the opposite. They react with pain so they think mmm, that was horrible, I’d better do it again.

Why would anyone be that daft? Because they are under psychological pressure to learn how to smoke. Your friends didn’t cough and splutter or go green or throw up, so you wanted to be like them and so you smoked another and another and what you did was to learn to smoke.

OTHER STOP SMOKING SERVICES IN REDDITCH

Therapy might not be what you’re looking for. If it isn’t, and you want to take pharmaceutical products to stop smoking, we suggest you see your GP.. You can also visit the NHS Smokefree website here.
