A STOP-SMOKING TIP

Before you see our Stratford-upon-Avon hypnotist we suggest you take time to ensure that this is the best method for you. Everyone has their own issues with stopping smoking. Think about what yours are, and learn whether hypnotherapy is good at dealing with those. We have a page, linked above, which goes into how it works, so do read that first.

In fact hypnotherapy is such a successful stop-smoking method because it DOES resolve the problems smokers have. Almost everyone does very well with it. We’re just saying there are other options, and they should be considered. The obvious one is acupuncture. This is every bit as successful, but not all smokers know about it. It’s possible that it would be more suited for you, so read about it before you decide. We don’t do it here, but we do have Warwickshire acupuncture branches.

Having thought this through, if you are ready to make an appointment with our Stratford hypnotist, then by all means go ahead.

We are here to help, and helping you to choose the right therapy matters to us. So if you need some advice on this, don’t hesitate to call us, on 01200 40 50 22.

ANOTHER STOP-SMOKING TIP

If you have tried to stop smoking before, and failed, there may be a reason you didn’t know about. It’s going to help to know this before you see our Stratford hypnotist. The issue is a food that can make you crave a cigarette, and that food is tomato.

The tomato and tobacco plants are members of the same plant family, which is nightshade. They are closely related so they have molecules in common. This means that if you have stopped smoking but ingest tomato your body MAY interpret molecules from it as coming from tobacco. If that happens, the tomato is mimicking tobacco. This means you will get a fix of something like nicotine from the it.

Some people hope this might be a good thing, but it isn’t. They imagine they can use tomato as a nicotine replacement product, which is sort of right. Just like an NRP, whose job is to keep you addicted, tomato can also keep you addicted, which of course you don’t want. So, just as you must not use an NRP after seeing our hypnotist in Stratford-upon-Avon, you need to avoid tomato. ANY food containing or made from tomato is on the list. It includes ketchup and tomato soup, of course, and baked beans, any pasta sauce and pizza topping. In fact anything Italian is to be avoided. Don’t panic, though. It’s only for four or five days after your last tobacco or NRP.

If you have any questions about this, we can explain it all for you. Call our national advice service on 01200 40 50 22.
