OUR GUARANTEED AFTERCARE SERVICE

When you have seen our Bromley hypnotherapist or acupuncturist we will enrol you in our NSSC AfterCare programme. The support that comes with each therapy is different, although in each case it provides access to our unlimited help by telephone counselling.

Bromley Hypnotherapy AfterCare

This gives three years of support. We strongly advise you to call the helpdesk the day after your session. We will talk through how the session went, how you feel right now, and what, if anything, else we need to do.

THE NSCI STOP SMOKING HANDBOOK

Here’s a snippet from the book. There are lots of pages you can read for free. We suggest you do this before you come to our Bromley hypnosis or acupuncture branch.

You haven’t tried

If you have never tried to stop you should continue working through the Handbook. If you succeed, that’s great. If you don’t, at the very least you will have a far better idea why you can’t stop than you did before and what the best approach would be for your personal circumstances.

You tried on your own

This is usually called cold turkey, but what turkeys, regardless of their temperature, have to do with stopping smoking is a mystery to me.

Did you stop, completely, for a week or more? If you did, you have proved you can stop. Have you done it more than once?

If not, you have done what a lot of smokers do. You have convinced yourself you failed. Actually, you didn’t fail, you succeeded and then you went back to smoking, which is different, and if you can make yourself believe this there is no reason why, with the help of the Handbook, you shouldn’t succeed again.

If you have succeeded several times, in other words you stop and start regularly, you are almost there. Perhaps with the help of the Handbook you will now stop for ever, but if not consider joining the Institute’s research project, epsilon.

What you don’t need is to be spending a lot of money or taking drugs to do what you have already proved you can do without them.

OTHER BROMLEY STOP SMOKING RESOURCES

Therapy might not be what you’re looking for. If it isn’t, and you want to take pharmaceutical products to stop smoking, we suggest you see your GP.. You can also visit the NHS Bromley website here.
