THE NSCI STOP SMOKING HANDBOOK

Here is a small snippet from the book. If you are going to come to our Fylde hypnotherapist, it’s a good idea to read the free sample pages first.

….. There is another thing that can make you feel strange when you stop smoking, and it’s oxygen. You see, when you have a cigarette, about ten percent of the oxygen you normally have in your brain is pushed out and replaced by carbon monoxide from the tobacco smoke. Over the years your brain gets accustomed to working on this 90:10 mix. When you stop smoking, your brain has to adjust to 100% oxygen and during this period you can suffer from slight dizziness, which you could easily mistake for withdrawal symptoms. Two words of advice if this happens; first, don’t make the mistake of thinking smoking would help, and second, don’t stand on top of any tall buildings.

OTHER FYLDE COAST STOP SMOKING RESOURCES

Therapy might not be what you’re looking for. If it isn’t, and you want to take pharmaceutical products to stop smoking, we suggest you see your GP.. You can also visit the NHS Smokefree website here.
