Most clients stop in a single session, but a free follow-up is provided within three months in the event that you have a problem. Our Stockton hypnotherapist has bookings from Monday to Saturday, and you can also be seen in the evening.

When you have seen our Stockton hypnotherapist or acupuncturist we will enrol you in our NSSC AfterCare programme. The support that comes with each therapy is different, although in each case it provides access to our unlimited help by telephone counselling.

A STOP-SMOKING TIP

As you read this information about our Stockton hypnotist, there is a good chance that you are a bit unsure if you want to stop smoking. Most smokers are. You have probably been told that you have to want to stop in order to succeed. Don’t worry, it’s not true.

You really have to look at that word ‘want’. We’re not talking about the meaning of the word itself, but how it affects you. There are many things we want, but we’re never going to have them. We know that, don’t we? Why aren’t we? One reason is that we don’t want them enough. Enough, at least to pay the price.

Sometimes you know you do want to stop smoking, and sometimes you don’t. You are here now probably because you feel at least that you should. When you don’t, you tell yourself you put it off. Why is there this confusion? Why are you in such conflict?

The answer is simpler than you might imagine. No-one wants to stop smoking. They wish they had never started, but they don’t want to stop. Recognise that in yourself? You know that your smoking makes no sense. You have almost certainly tried to stop, and failed. Or you have succeeded but started again. Your problem is not that you don’t want to be a non-smoker, though. If it were, why have you tried? It’s that you don’t want to go through the process of stopping. If it was easy you would, but it hasn’t been, so you look for reasons why you’re not ready to try again.

So what is the answer to your problem? Again, it’s really rather simple. On the understanding that you do want to be a non-smoker, stop believing you don’t. No-one who stopped smoking regretted it, did they? Make your appointment with our hypnotist in Stockton-on-Tees, because that’s the first step. Once you’ve done that, you will find that you stop making excuses.

DOING IT RIGHT

GETTING THE BEST RESULT FROM YOUR NSSC HYPNOTHERAPY

We want every client to get the very best from their session at our Stockton hypnotherapy branch. These tips will help us to help you.

Before you come:

1. Read about hypnotherapy and how it works here. There is also free pages from our book you can read here.

2. Watch the videos here. You don’t have to watch all of them. Just pick those that interest you the most.

Then:

3. At the session, tell our Stockton hypnotist about the problems you have with stopping smoking.

4. The day after, call the NSSC AfterCare helpdesk, on 01200 40 50 22. Their job is to check that everything is going well. If it is, that’s great. If it isn’t, they will help you to fix it.

5. Eliminate tomatoes, and any food containing tomato, from your diet. If you don’t know why, call us.

6. You might be tempted to go out drinking with friends who smoke. Don’t.

7. If you have a smoker in the house, they need to support you. This means they a) don’t smoke in the house, and b) don’t leave cigarettes around.

8. Throw away all smoking materials. Why wouldn’t you?

9. Tell your friends you have stopped smoking and get their support.

And after the session:

10. Finally, something we cannot overstate. If you have a problem, call us. If you think you might smoke, call us. If you do smoke, call us. We will never judge you. We’re here to help, and we’re very good at it. Don’t call our hypnotist in Stockton, call the AfterCare service..
