A STOP-SMOKING TIP

Before you decide to see our Twickenham hypnotist do take a little time to ensure that this is the right therapy for you. Everyone has heard of hypnotherapy, and most people decide to use it on that basis. They have heard of it but they actually know very little about it. How much do you know? There is some good information on this site, so click on the link above to get the facts. Think about why you can’t stop smoking and ask the only question that matters. Does hypnotherapy solve that problem?

In fact almost everyone does very well with it. What we’re saying here is that there are other options, and they should be considered. The main one is of course acupuncture. This is every bit as successful, but for some reason is less well known by smokers. It may be more suited for you, so read about it before you decide. ANOTHER STOP-SMOKING TIP

While you’re reading this information about our Twickenham hypnotist, there is a good chance that you are questioning your motivation to stop smoking. It’s true of many smokers. You have likely heard that you have to want to stop in order to succeed. And you probably believe that. However, it’s not actually true. Not like that, anyway.

Our point is that you really have to look at the word ‘want’. We’re not talking about the meaning of the word itself, but how it relates to you. There are many things we want, but we’re never likely to have them. We know that, don’t we? Why is that? Because we don’t want them enough. Enough, at least to pay the price, whatever that might be.

Sometimes you want to stop smoking and sometimes you don’t. When you do, you come to a website like this. When you don’t, you tell yourself you will do that another time. Why is there this confusion? Why are you in such conflict?

The answer is simpler than you might think. No-one actually wants to stop smoking. They wish they had never started, but they don’t want to stop. Recognise this in yourself? You know smoking makes no sense. You have probably tried to stop, and you have failed. Or you have succeeded and started again. Your problem is not that you don’t want to be a non-smoker. It’s that you don’t want to go through the pain of stopping. If it were easy you would, but it hasn’t been, so you look for reasons why you’re not ready to attempt it again. You pretend that you enjoy it, for example.

So what is the solution to this conundrum? Again, it’s really rather simple. On the understanding that you want to be a non-smoker, stop believing you don’t. No-one who stopped smoking ever regretted it, did they? Make your appointment with our Twickenham hypnotist, because that’s the first step. Once you’ve done that, you will find you stop making excuses.
