A STOP-SMOKING TIP

Before you arrange to see our London W10 hypnotist do take a little while to think if this is the right therapy for you. Everyone has heard of hypnotherapy, and most people decide to go for it on that basis. They have heard of it but they actually know little about it. How much do you know? There is some good information here, so click on the link above to get the facts. Think about why you can’t stop smoking and ask the question that really matters. Does hypnotherapy solve that problem?

In fact almost everyone does very well with it. What we’re saying here is that there are other options, and they should be considered. The main one is of course acupuncture. This is every bit as successful, but for some reason is less well known by smokers. It may be more suited for you, so read about it before you decide. We don’t have acupuncture at this branch, but we do have nearby west London acupuncture branches. If you feel ready to make an appointment with our W10 hypnotist, then by all means go ahead.

ANOTHER STOP-SMOKING TIP

An issue that tends to come up when we’re talking with prospective clients is one of motivation. They say they’re not sure they want to stop smoking – despite calling us about it! There is a lot of misunderstanding about this issue. If you are thinking of seeing our London W10 hypnotist, we would ask you to think about what we’re saying here first.

If you have been asking yourself if you want to stop smoking, you have been asking the wrong question. No-one really wants to stop smoking. What they want is to be a non-smoker. Think about that, and while you’re doing that ask yourself a better question. Are you glad you started smoking? You already know the answer to that one, don’t you?

So you have a conflict. You wish you had never started, but you’re not sure you want to stop. You should now be able to see what the problem is here. The issue is not BEING a non-smoker, it’s BECOMING one.You want to be someone who doesn’t smoke, but you don’t want to go through the process. Now that’s understandable. What you actually want is for smoking just to go away. But that is a bit like wanting a toothache to go away, It will only do that if you go to the dentist. You are only going to be a non-smoker if you go through the stopping process.

TEN TIPS FOR GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR NSSC HYPNOTHERAPY

We want every client to get the very best from their session at our London W10 hypnotherapy branch. Follow these tips and you will help us to help you.

Before you come:

1. Read about hypnotherapy and how it works here. There is also free pages from our book you can read here.

2. Watch the videos here. You don’t have to watch all of them. Just pick those that interest you the most.

Then:

3. At the session, make sure you ask our hypnotist anything at all. Don’t hold back – they need to know what you need to know.

4. The day after the session, call the NSSC AfterCare helpdesk, on 01200 40 50 22. Their job is to check that everything is going well. If it is, that’s great. If it isn’t, they will help you to fix it.

5. Avoid tomatoes, and any food containing tomato. If you don’t know why, call us.

6. You might be tempted to go out drinking with friends who smoke. Don’t, until you don’t care about smoking.

7. If you have a smoker in the house, they have to support you. This means a) not smoking in the house, and b) not leaving cigarettes around.

8. Throw away all smoking materials. Why wouldn’t you?

9. Tell your friends you have stopped smoking and get their support.

And after the session:

10. Finally, something we cannot overstate. If you have a problem, call us. If you think you might smoke, call us. If you do smoke, call us. We will never judge you. We’re here to help, and we’re very good at it. Don’t call our hypnotist in London W10, call our AfterCare team, on 01200 40 50 22.

The fear of stopping smoking

Fear is what makes people buy national lottery tickets. It’s not the thought that they might win that makes them do it but the fear that someone else will. The sellers understand this, and it’s part of their advertising. It could be you, but if you don’t gamble (or ‘play’ as they call it) someone else will get all this lovely money that should be yours.

Fear is why drivers drop down to the speed limit when they reach a speed camera. They’re not interested in obeying the law, they’re just afraid of getting caught breaking it. I’m not being priggish when I say this, I’m just making a point. Fear is one of the most powerful motivating emotions a human will ever have. It is, for an industry that has a product to sell, an emotion they cannot afford to ignore. Fear is what keeps people smoking. And that brings me nicely back to my statement at the start of this tutorial, that there are three ways dependence works.
