OUR GUARANTEED AFTERCARE SERVICE

When you have seen our Hornsey hypnotherapist we will enrol you in our NSSC AfterCare programme. The support that comes with each therapy is different, although in each case it provides access to our unlimited help by telephone counselling.

Hornsey Hypnotherapy AfterCare

This gives three years of support. We strongly advise you to call the helpdesk the day after your session. We will talk through how the hypnotherapy went, how you feel right now, and what more, if anything, we need to do for you.

A STOP-SMOKING TIP

A question we are often asked, which is only to be expected, is how effective our Hornsey hypnosis service is. The problem with this question is that it is not possible to answer it in an ethical way. Because success rates can’t be proved, claiming a rate would be unethical.

But we do want to give a helpful answer, so this is what we say instead. There are three things you can do yourself to make this work.

The first is to have hypnotherapy because you have thought about why you can’t stop smoking, and you know hypnotherapy solves those problems. If you’re not sure about that, call us and we will advise you. If we believe it’s right for you, we will get our Hornsey hypnotist to call you to make an appointment.

The second factor is finding a therapist with proper qualifications and experience. Of course, that is why we’re here, so that one is sorted.

And the third, which you might not have thought of, is support. Having access to specialist counsellors after you’ve seen our Hornsey hypnotist can make a huge difference. We provide this service for three years.

And here is something for you to ponder. You have very probably failed to stop smoking with drug products, which is why you are reading this. You may even have started to believe, because you keep failing, that you can’t succeed. Think again. You have been using pharmaceutical products. That has nothing to do with therapy. Therapy always works better than drugs.

TIPS FOR GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR HYPNOTHERAPY IN HORNSEY

We want every client to get the very best from their session. Follow these tips and you will help us to help you.

Preparing:

1. Read about hypnotherapy and how it works here. There is also free pages from our book you can read here.

2. Watch the videos here. You don’t have to watch all of them. Just pick the most interesting ones to you.

On the day:

3. At the session, make sure you ask our Hornsey hypnotist anything at all. Don’t hold back – they need to know what you need to know.

4. The day after the session, phone the AfterCare helpdesk. Their job is to check that everything is going well. If it is, that’s great. If it isn’t, they will help you to fix it.

5. Avoid tomatoes, and any food containing tomato. If you don’t know why, call us.

6. You might be tempted to go out drinking with friends who smoke. Don’t, until you don’t care about smoking.

7. If you have a smoker in the house, they have to support you. This means a) not smoking in the house, and b) not leaving cigarettes around.

8. Throw out all your smoking materials. Why not?

9. Tell everyone you have stopped smoking and get their support.

And after the session:

10. Finally, something we cannot put too strongly. If you have a problem, call us. If you think you might smoke, call us. If you do smoke, call us. We will never judge you. We’re here to help, and we’re very good at it. Don’t call our Hornsey hypnotist, call the NSSC AfterCare service, on 01200 40 50 22.

THE NSCI STOP SMOKING HANDBOOK

Before seeing our Hornsey hypnotherapist, you might like to read the free sample pages on our website.
Here is a very small taster:

Psychological dependence, what it is and what it does to you.

Dependence on smoking keeps people smoking in three ways:

It stops them trying to stop.

It stops them succeeding when they try.

It makes them go back when they have stopped.

Being dependent on something is not necessarily a bad thing. Dependence is what makes us form relationships and have families. The interdependency involved in these relationships is completely normal.

You have learned why and how you came to be addicted to nicotine, and now it’s time to understand how that makes you dependent on smoking cigarettes and why this is a bad thing. In a nutshell it’s a bad thing because being dependent on smoking is a terrible contradiction. It’s not the comforting dependence that two people have when they love each other, it’s the dependence one person has for another person who abuses them. Tobacco involves a love-hate relationship – you love it and it hates you. The function of tobacco is very simple. It is to make you and keep you dependent for the profit of others. It confers no benefit on the user and makes no claim to do so. It is, in fact, the only product sold legally on the planet that does this. Without the dependence of the users, the manufacturers would simply stop operating.

OTHER HORNSEY STOP SMOKING RESOURCES

Therapy might not be what you’re looking for. If it isn’t, and you want to take pharmaceutical products to stop smoking, we suggest you see your GP.. You can also visit the NHS Smokefree website here.
