A STOP-SMOKING TIP

A question we are often asked is how successful our hypnotherapy is. It’s a very natural question but there is no simple answer. First, let’s be clear about something. Ask any hypnotist in Melton Mowbray how successful they are; the honest answer is that there is no answer. That is what they should say.

This is because of ethics. Saying how good you are is making a claim. You cannot prove that claim, in which case it is not ethical to make it. We at National Stop Smoking Centres don’t, and our Melton Mowbray hypnotist won’t if you ask them. Instead, this is what they will tell you: There are some things you can do to give yourself the best chance of success.

The first is have the correct therapy. That is going to happen, because unlike independent therapists we offer a range of stop-smoking methods. Whatever method is best for you is one we can provide.

Then, make sure you see a properly qualified therapist, one who has good stop-smoking experience. That, naturally, is why you come to NSSC.

And finally, few people think about support. Our Melton Mowbray hypnotist is very good indeed, but we’re not talking here about them, we’re talking about you. You are human. You have probably stopped smoking before, and started again. So you know things go wrong. Our view of this is that a mistake does NOT have to mean you’ve failed, it means we need to help you. That is what we mean by support.

Our AfterCare service is free for a full three years. We don’t mind you calling; in fact we WANT you to call. It’s why we’re here. And we are very good at this. The biggest mistake clients make when they hit a problem is to believe they have failed. Call our AfterCare team, and we will show you how to sort it out. And here is a promise: We will always be non judgmental. So don’t be afraid to call. We’re on your side.

THE NSCI STOP SMOKING HANDBOOK

Before seeing our Melton Mowbray hypnotherapist, you might like to read the free sample pages on our website.
Here is a very small taster:

….. What you saw was people all around you smoking and not dying. What you didn’t know is that smokers, at the end of their lives, aren’t walking around smoking, they’re at home or in hospital coughing their guts up where you can’t see them. Not all of them, of course, but a lot of them.

Why did you try that first cigarette? Well, almost certainly because someone you knew smoked and either they encouraged you to or perhaps they didn’t need to because you wanted to do what they were doing anyway. So the short answer to why people try the first cigarette is because they see other people smoking. This means, by the way, that every child who sees you smoking is being taught to smoke one day, so actually you don’t need to give a child a cigarette. Just smoking in public means you’re doing the unpaid advertising the tobacco companies know you will do, grooming the next generation for their product.
